Developed an overarching content strategy and wrote copy for the launch of a new website for a local water ice business. Worked closely with a talented UX Designer to ensure the perfect balance of messaging and visuals.
The Client: Fusco's water ice is a proud family-owned business that's been operating in Wilmington for generations. As they've started expanding to new branches, they've needed a revitalized website to represent them, along with an updated, more coherent brand.
The Work: I was brought on to provide copywriting and digital content strategy for the creation of the new website, along with creating a broader strategy for their marketing efforts. First, I conducted discovery through a series of in-depth interviews with the owner, finding that Fusco's has a deep passion behind it. They take pride in their work, so my real goal would be to capture and represent that. Next, I conducted competitive research into the greater landscape of the market, assessing the relative strengths of our product. Finally, a deep dive into Fusco's storied history provided several resources for us to use in the writing process.
The Strategy: After a careful assessment, we decided to take a bold, aggressive stance. Fusco's has a better product than the major competitors, we know it, and we're not afraid to mince words about it.
